The mandatory details include your phone number for OTP (One-Time Password) verification, which is necessary to ensure the security and validity of the registration process. Your phone number may also be used for the purpose of Astrologers connecting with you via phone call when you have requested to talk with them on the website. Your phone number will never be shared with the Astrologers directly – when you are contacted via phone call, it is only through our service ‘Astrologer connect’ whereby you receive a phone call from the astrologer that you have chosen to consult with, with the website as the intermediarary, so that your private phone number remains private, unknown, and unknowable to any third parties including Astrologers, and you are still able to use your phone to speak with them, as per your convenience.

Additionally, you are required to provide your first name. Last name, and date of birth (DOB) are optional - these details are not mandatory to provide it during the registration process. If provided, this information will be stored and used in compliance with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and for the purposes described in this policy.

PURPOSE AND USE OF DATA/INFORMATION COLLECTION

By collecting this information, JaatakAstro aims to create a personalized user profile that can cater to your specific needs and preferences. However, if you choose not to provide your date of birth, it won't hinder the registration process, and you can still access the services offered by JaatakAstro with your verified phone number.

Profile Deletion

Delete Profile: If you wish to delete your entire JaatakAstro profile, you can find an option to "Delete your account". Click on this setting option in the side menu and follow the instructions and complete the account deletion process.

User must also note that Personal information collected by JaatakAstro will be retained for as long as reasonable to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, and to provide a smooth, quick and easy experience for users, or as required by law.

CONSENT MANAGEMENT

JaatakAstro is committed to complete and total transparency when it comes to our handling of your data. Users can request the deletion of their data, or seek access to a summary of personal data being processed by us and our data processors, and seek information about the identities of any data processors or parties that are securely processing your data, along with a description of your personal data so shared, and make changes or updates to the said data if required by users, or withdraw partly or wholly their consent to processing or usage of their data by using this platform (link to platform provided by consent manager’s website) provided by our reputed Consent Manager (Consent Manager Website) and we will comply within a reasonable and lawful time unless we are required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory reasons.

Voice Recording / Video call access and Microphone Permission

In our app, we've implemented a unique and convenient way for you to ask questions and interact with Astrologers in your chat — by recording your voice as audio. Instead of typing out your queries, you also have an option to simply speak into your device's microphone, record the voice as audio, and then send it on chat. This audio interaction feature is designed to make using our app more intuitive and in tune with natural communication.

To enable you to record your questions and thoughts in your own voice as audio, we need to request access to your device's microphone. When you grant us this permission, it allows our app to capture the sound of your voice as audio and convert it into digital data that we can process.

The recorded audio files are stored securely in compliance with our security standards and will be deleted after a reasonable period of time unless otherwise required for legal or regulatory purposes.

While JaatakAstro also facilitates audio interactions, it is not responsible for any content, advice, or actions that occur during these sessions. Users should exercise discretion during such communications, and we recommend ensuring that no sensitive personal data is shared unless necessary. Any information shared during audio or text interactions, or any information shared not to the platform, but to the third party using the platform (such as Astrologers or other users) shall not fall under the ambit of information protected by this privacy policy, and JaatakAstro shall have no liability arising out of any consequences of sharing such information, or any responsibility whatsoever to safeguard, delete or control such information.

COMMITMENT

The Website intends to protect the privacy of all kinds of users visiting the platform irrespective whether the user is a registered user or merely a visitor. It is recommended to every user to understand what types of personally identifiable information is collected. It is clarified and made explicit that JaatakAstro does not make any predictions or give any advise whatsoever. It only provides Kundlis, Horoscopes and astrology charts based entirely and only on the corpus of publically available and established knowledge of astrology, and how the personal information that the users provide corresponds to it. We commit that any information provided for these purposes will solely be used for those purposes only. Any information that may be needed to be provided to Astrologers is not taken from the information given to the website when a user makes their profile, or when they use any abovementioned service provided by the website such as Kundlis, Horoscopes or Astrology Charts, and is therefore completely separate. Each time a user wishes to consult an astrologer via the platform provided by the website, the information required to supply to the astrologer is separately asked for, and is not used, controlled, transmitted, shared by the website in any manner, except for its stated purpose i.e. its supply to the particular Astrologer to whom the information is given by the user. It is further clarified that the Website does not in any manner deal in selling or renting the information supplied to the Website.

The Website does not commit to treat or provide solutions for users with weak mental health which is inclusive of any user who have thoughts related to committing suicide, self-destruction etc. Such users are advised to stop the use of the present website with immediate effect and any continued use of the website by such person would be considered solely at the user's risk and the Website shall have no liability for any untoward event in such scenario. The Website declares that the information provided by such kind of user can be shared, if required, with law enforcement authorities. Such information is not protected from any kind of non-disclosure or confidential agreements either with the Website or with any third-party involved herein.

Booking a paid service: While booking a service through Order Form, the personal information which may be sought would include, but not limited to the information as mentioned in Column 1(a), financial information inclusive of bank account information, credit card or debit card details or other payment instrument details through a secure third party gateway, IP (Internet protocol) Address and any other information that a User may provide during booking a paid service on the Website. As part of the effective provision of the Services and quality control purposes, we may request reviews from you about Service Professionals and you agree and acknowledge that Service Professionals may provide reviews about you to us. You consent to grant us the right to publish and/or otherwise use reviews provided by you. You must not knowingly provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information in respect of the reviews. Reviews will be used by us for quality control purposes and to determine whether Customers and Service Professionals are appropriate users of the Platform. If we determine at our sole discretion that you are not an appropriate user, we reserve the right to cancel your registration and remove you from our Platform.

NON-PERSONAL IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

The information qualifies as non-personal in nature when the information collected does not identify a specific end user. Such information is collected when the user visits the Website, cookies, etc. and would include but not limited to the following:

DISPUTE RESOLUTION
